Honey Garlic Chicken

This is the right recipe for a no-fuss dinner. It is sweet, easy-to-make, and will give your whole family something to talk about.

· ¼ cup of mirin.

· 4 pounds of bone-in skinless chicken breasts.

· 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar.

· 6 cloves of garlic, finely minced, divided.

· ¼ cup of hoisin sauce.

· 1 cup of soy sauce.

· 2 tablespoons of ginger, finely minced.

· 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.

· A pinch of salt.

· 2 scallions, sliced.

· ¾ cup of honey.

· 1 tablespoon of sriracha.

· 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.

Directions:

· Put the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker, all in a single layer. However, a little overlapping is acceptable.

· With the exception of 2 cloves of garlic and salt, mix all the other ingredients together in a medium bowl.

· Whisk them together to combine and pour the sauce over the breasts.

· Cook the chicken for 4 hours on low.

· Remove the chicken breasts from the cooker and transfer it to a big bowl.

· Transfer the cooking liquid into a pan and boil it for about 10 minutes on high or until you have a cup of the cooking liquid left.

· Remove the chicken from the heat and add the remaining garlic.

· Remove the chicken bones and use 2 forks to shred the chicken.

· Pour the remaining cup of cooking liquid on the chicken and toss it gently to coat.

· Add salt to season it.

· Garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
